Dear Parents of Brown Experimental Education,
We firmly believe that every student is a unique individual, like an unpolished gem filled with limitless potential and possibilities. They not only have the right to pursue their dreams but also deserve to be respected, understood, and heard in an environment full of care and inclusivity. We are convinced that personalized education is the key to unlocking a child's potential. Only through tailored educational approaches can we truly reach a child's heart, ignite their passion, and spark their curiosity to explore the unknown, helping them find their direction and strength in this rapidly changing world.
As the world evolves at an unprecedented pace, information constantly updates, and society becomes more diverse and filled with challenges. Our children must not only develop the ability to discern right from wrong but also learn how to adapt to change and embrace the digital age. However, we understand that knowledge and skills alone are not enough to navigate these challenges. Children need emotional resilience and strong social skills—true pillars of support when facing setbacks and uncertainty.
To address this, we have integrated Social Emotional Learning (SEL) into our daily education. We hope that every child will learn from an early age to recognize and understand their emotions, manage stress and anxiety effectively, and extend empathy and care toward others. We believe that these abilities will not only help them overcome obstacles in life but also shape them into compassionate and responsible future citizens.
Every child is a unique dreamer in this world. Their future should not be confined by standardized frameworks but should be one of freedom and hope. Our mission goes beyond delivering knowledge—we strive to explore each child’s inner strength, plant the seeds of dreams, nurture empathy and courage, and illuminate their path with hope when they feel lost.
Warm regards,
Cathy Lai

Dear Parents of Brown Experimental Education,
Throughout my years in education, I have always believed in the principle that education should be accessible to all. However, the greatest challenge for educators lies in tailoring education to each student’s unique needs. Adaptive education often seems like a concept—a noun rather than a verb. Yet, in my view, true education must be student-centered to be sustainable. As educators, our responsibility is to guide and support every child in discovering their interests and strengths.
In today’s fast-paced, AI-driven society, human relationships have become more distant and impersonal. Students may feel that AI can provide answers to all their questions, leading them to believe that technology can replace educators. But this is far from the truth. While AI can offer knowledge and solutions, it cannot provide emotional value, warmth, or genuine care.
During their learning journey, students often face challenges that extend beyond academics—many of their struggles are emotional and social. School life teaches them how to interact with peers, develop empathy, think critically, and distinguish right from wrong.
These are the aspects of education that AI cannot replace. Education is not just about academic instruction—it shapes character, instills values, and nurtures a passion for life. Education is a continuous journey, where each child is like a sapling, and we, as educators, are the gardeners who nurture and support their growth.
I am truly grateful to be an educator. Witnessing countless children grow, learn with joy, and develop a sense of hope and purpose for their future makes all the hard work worthwhile.
Warm regards,
Alice Yang
