About the Founder of L.T. Brown
Can you imagine a student who was expelled three times during their high school years, only to graduate from the University of California, Irvine in just two years? Even I am amazed at my journey. I remain deeply grateful for the support of a suitable system and my parents' unwavering belief in me, which has allowed me to now create an environment in Hsinchu where students' potential can be inspired — the L.T. Brown International Experimental Education.
Through years of setbacks and challenges, I realized that every child has unique learning needs, and the traditional educational system often fails to provide the flexibility required. I also understood that not everyone is as fortunate as I was — to stumble upon the community college system in the United States during a search and receive the support of my parents. After graduating, I repeatedly reflected on how to bring a stable and well-rounded system to students in Taiwan.
After several years of promoting international education, I eventually teamed up with my colleague, Cai Mingheng, who had a similar educational experience, and together we leveraged relevant regulations to establish L.T. Brown International Experimental Education, a school that breaks free from the constraints of the traditional curriculum. Our goal is to help parents and children in Taiwan who are outside the traditional system avoid the difficult and winding road we once faced.
Following the Comenius philosophy, we allow students to choose their courses based on their interests, explore themselves, discover career paths, and develop problem-solving abilities and independent thinking. We provide a variety of academic resources to support their growth. At the same time, we believe that guiding children to engage in social service and participate in a diverse range of extracurricular activities will help them develop the character and abilities necessary to make a true impact in society, while also fostering the virtues of gratitude and giving back to their community.
L.T. Brown International Experimental Education will lead students toward the world, helping them explore the endless possibilities of the future.
