About L.T. Brown
Core Vision: Confident Leadership, Thriving Globally
Inspired by love, allowing every talent to flourish in freedom.
At L.T. Brown International School, we believe that every child is a unique and complete individual. We embrace the philosophy of holistic education advocated by Comenius, often regarded as the Father of Modern Education, and uphold the principle that education should follow nature.
Rejecting mechanical rote instruction, we are committed to creating a vibrant learning environment filled with curiosity, exploration, and a deep respect for life—an environment where students grow naturally and confidently into their fullest potential.
Four Pillars of Education
To empower students to lead with confidence in an ever-changing world, we have established a comprehensive educational framework:
● Holistic Growth
-We value the organic integration of knowledge and strive to break down traditional subject boundaries. Education is not merely about delivering information, but about connecting learning to real life—transforming education into a meaningful journey of discovery driven by curiosity and purpose.
● Personalized Learning
-We respect each child’s unique pace of growth, reflecting the spirit of Pansophy. Through differentiated instruction and individualized support, we nurture every student’s strengths and provide the right environment for their talents to grow and flourish.
● Core Competencies
-From critical thinking and creativity to complex problem-solving, we equip students with the essential tools needed for the future. Through Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), we also foster resilience, self-awareness, and strong character, ensuring students are prepared not only academically, but emotionally and socially.
● Global Citizenship
-Rooted in Taiwan and connected to the world, we guide students to cross cultural boundaries and develop empathy, responsibility, and global awareness. Our goal is not only to help students thrive internationally, but to empower them to become positive forces for change in the world.

About L.T. Brown International School
L.T. Brown International School is Taiwan’s first innovative school to offer a Dual Enrollment (DE) + Advanced Placement (AP) academic pathway. Serving students from Grade 1 through Grade 12, L.T. Brown is committed to providing a globalized, diverse, and personalized education that prepares students for success in an ever-changing world. Students do not need dual citizenship to enroll. Our curriculum is aligned with the U.S. Common Core Standards, delivered entirely in English by qualified international teachers using synchronized American instructional materials. During high school, students have the opportunity to earn U.S. college credits in advance, with the potential to transfer up to 60 credits, equivalent to approximately two years of university study. This allows students to complete part of their university coursework early, creating greater flexibility and time to explore their interests and thoughtfully plan their future pathways. To support families, L.T. Brown also provides safe and convenient school transportation services, with carefully planned bus routes that ensure students can begin their learning journey with confidence and peace of mind.
Admission Placement Assessment
Before enrollment, students will complete an English proficiency assessment. Based on their level, students are placed into multi-age, ability-based classes, allowing teachers to better support each student’s learning pace and needs.
With a 1:10 teacher-to-student ratio, every student receives individualized attention and timely guidance. Learning at L.T. Brown is not simply about keeping up with the curriculum—it is about truly understanding, confidently expressing ideas, and continuously growing.

California Community Colleges (CCC)
The California Community Colleges (CCC) system is the largest higher education system in the United States, consisting of 115 community colleges that offer two-year Associate Degrees and career technical programs.
One of its key advantages is the “2+2 transfer pathway”—students complete the first two years at a California community college and then transfer to a four-year university to earn a bachelor’s degree. Through the Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) program, eligible students may secure admission to participating University of California (UC) campuses.
This pathway provides a cost-effective and practical route to entering top universities while significantly reducing overall education expenses.

College of the Canyons (COC)
College of the Canyons (COC) was established in 1969 and is a public community college within the California Community Colleges (CCC) system.
COC is a two-year public college known for its strong academic programs and well-established university transfer system. It is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and recognized for providing a safe campus environment and high-quality education, making it one of the most popular community colleges in California.
COC hosts approximately 200 international students from over 50 countries, including many students from Taiwan and Asia. The college also maintains a supportive international learning environment that helps students transition smoothly into U.S. higher education.
TAG (Transfer Admission Guarantee) Program
The Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) program is an agreement offered by the University of California (UC) system for students studying at California community colleges.
Students who meet the required academic standards (GPA) may receive guaranteed admission to participating UC campuses. This pathway helps reduce admission uncertainty and provides a clear route to top universities in the United States:
University of California, Davis #32

University of California, Santa Barbara #40
University of California, Merced #57
University of California, Riverside #75
